Attending camps is a good way to fine tune your skills, introduce new skills, and just simply have fun doing the sport you love. Having one in my back yard made it real easy to sign up. The Air Assault football camp was an experience I will never forget. Not only did I have teammates attending the same camp, but I also made new friends all across the state of Washington. The coaches there are some of the most fun and knowledgeable people to be around. They will teach you how to work hard, compete, and have fun while just playing football. I would recommend anyone at anytime to sign up for this camp. The experience helped me become the football player I am today at the collegiate level. I am in now a sophomore at Montana state northern starting for the second year. I truly feel Air Assault helped me reach the level I am at today.
As a former Air Assault camper and Quarterback of the Camp winner I highly recommend this camp to any kid who is looking to improve his skill work at the quarterback position. Coach Mike Peck does a great job at pointing out things for you to work on and breaks it down so that it is easily understandable. During the camp he also gives you drills to do for when you get home. When I came to this camp I was a incoming senior with a strong arm and weak footwork. Coach Peck helped my footwork and turned me into a much better quarterback. I was then able to use my faster feet in the regular season to go along with my strong arm to win my league’s offensive MVP. Whether you’re a great player already or a young kid looking to turn into a great player Coach Peck and the Air Assault Team will do a great job to help you.
Air Assault Football Camp is one of the best individual camps in Washington. It provides you with great 1 on 1 instruction that allows you to achieve your highest potential. The coaches are exceptionally talented and have played at the highest level in college so you know they’re teaching you the proper technique and skills necessary to be successful on the football field. Also, the coaches are not just great instructors, they are class act people that have the amazing ability to inspire people. Without a doubt, I owe my success, not only on the field, but off the field as well to Air Assault Football Camp and the people that run it. I encourage anybody thinking about going to Air Assault to attend and take their game to the next level.
Air Assault football camp is the perfect way to start off your season. For anybody on the field. Not just wide receivers and quarterbacks. Linemen and linebackers get work in too. Whether its the agility drills or improving your hands so that when a ball comes past the line you are ready to make that pick. The timing of the camp couldn’t be any better. It is right before the season so that you get in shape and one step ahead of the others on your team. On the first day of football this year i was in better shape than the kids on my team that didn’t go to the camp. Coaches like to see that in a player on the first day. Winning every race and still coming back for more. My footwork speed increased dramatically. The agility drills and quarterback footwork drills really gave me that extra speed so that when it comes game time I make that cut at the right time to get by the corner, or I make that quick side step to avoid the linebacker coming to sack me.This camp provided me with endless reps. Which was great right before the season. I got to throw all the routes many different times so that i was crisp. I also got to run routes and perfect them so that I perfect my WR moves.
I had so much fun at this camp. That is why we play football., because it is fun. You get to come out with your buddies and throw to each other for a couple hours for 4 days. Cant get much better than that.
Air Assault is one of the best camps I’ve been to. Being able to run routes with guys from all over the league is a unique experience, and can teach you a lot. The coaches are dedicated to making us better, and have the flexibility to teach the little kids as well as high school athletes. You learn valuable lessons that can help you throughout your football career, and the conditioning at the camp is a great precursor to the season and really helps you get ready. Catching and/or throwing passes takes practice, and Air Assault allows you to do this with players you might not be used to, which forces you to adjust and get better. I will definitely be attending the camp again.
I have attended the Air Assault Football Camp for the past two years and will be going again this year. This is a great camp! Luke Fowler and Mike Peck are awesome with their players. They are always very positive and encouraging. They spend a lot of time working on the basics such as running, passing, agility and proper techniques. They expect you to work hard but they make working hard fun. I really enjoy the competitions between other camp members. There are also other area coaches at this camp which allows for more one on one coaching for players. With the camp being in August, it is a great warm up to get players ready for their regular football season. This is a great camp and I would recommend it to all high school football players.
This is Dax McCoy, Wide Receiver for Mark Morris High School. Air Assault Football Camp has been a great offseason workout for me, Coach Fowler has worked on my routes and footwork every day I was at camp. I have the utmost respect for Coach Fowler and Coach Peck. These two gentlemen along with the other coaches there have inspired me to become something bigger than I was. Luke, being my mentor ever since elementary school has always been supportive to me and made me work hard on my abilities at Wide Out. Mike has only known me briefly but, I could tell from the time I stepped on Longview Memorial Stadium grass that he would inspire me to become something much superior to my old self. He constantly praised my desire to get better. Although this camp is short, it will feel like football season has already started. After camp ended last year I remember putting on my cleats the next morning ready to run more routes when I realized that there wouldn’t be anyone at the football field. My personal favorite part of the camp is when we combine the quarterbacks with the receivers and throw routes for about an hour. I will be honest right here I didn’t find one part of the camp boring or not fun. If I could attend this camp until June 1 (which is when team camp starts) I would be there everyday ready to get better and make those diving catches. Another great thing about this camp is that the coaches give out awards for interesting yet simple things; For instance Tandoms between receivers or quarterbacks. If you have never attended this camp, you have no idea what you’re missing out on. The advice these coaches give is priceless, and if you’re thinking about signing up for it, quit thinking about it and just do it. I guarantee that you will not regret it. I’d like to thank the coaches who give up their time and advice for us players to benefit from and to make us all better individuals and athletes.
The Air Assault Football Camp is a great opportunity to get better. Any chance you can get to improve your game is awesome and with a coaching staff like Mike, Luke and the rest of the crew, I improved tons! I recommend this camp to anyone who dreams to step up their game for the upcoming season, or those who aspire to play at the next level. The most important part of the game is the little things, and no one stresses footwork and technique more than these guys. I took what I learned to heart and it helped me lead W.F. West to an undefeated league championship and on to state. I couldn’t have done it without all the hard work I put in over the summer and at the Air Assault Camp. All in all it was a great time to work and gain an advantage over the other players who don’t want to get better.
I have been to two Air Assault football camps and I’m glad i did. The coaches know what they are talking about and you learn many techniques that can improve your game. I personally liked it because it freshened up my mechanics right before the season started so by the time double days came I was in great shape and my throwing was great. This year my teammates and I made school history. We were the first team ever to make it to the playoff tournament and we had fun. It was a great feeling to have played so well and to advance that far and we owe part of that success to this camp. All our skill players went to this camp two weeks before the season started. We got back into the football groove, learned some new skills, and our conditioning went up when we left this camp. When we played our first game you could tell there was a difference between us and the other team on the little things that matter and made the difference in a win or loss in the game. Overall, this camp is very helpful and i recommend it to anyone who wants to work on their mechanics and want to give themselves a head start on their season.
As a former Quarterback I attended a lot of camps in the Portland/Metro area and although I did gain valuable reps, I never really received the one on one coaching that I really needed to take that next step in improving my skill set. When I attended Air Assault last year, as a spectator, I began to witness all that 1 on 1 coaching that I wanted being done on the field towards its camp members. I saw the coaching staff look at the campers as a football player instead of a dollar sign that paid for its camp. I also saw the kids get a lot of reps, with no standing around. It led me to seeing a vast improvement in the athlete’s skills. All in all, this camp is something I wish was around when I was playing and can’t wait to see this camp grow into one of the bigger ones in the Pacific Northwest. There is no doubt that I will send my kids to this camp because it is where I feel they will learn the most and get better, quicker.
I was able to be at day 4 of the Air Assault Football Camp at RA Long High School yesterday. I wanted to say I was very impressed. The camp was full of energy and positive encouragement for all of the kids. There was very little down time, only the occasional needed …water break, and rep after rep for the kids. I could tell that all of the coaches truly cared about the development of each player no matter their current skill level. The players all were very tired as the 3 previous days of hard work outs were starting to take their tole, but they keep pushing themselves as the coaches encouraged them to be all they could be. I look forward to sending my son to this camp in a few years. Good job Mike and Luke!
Great Camp… Kids got a lot better there. As a Rivals.com reporter I see most of the big camps. This was a great smaller camp! I loved it. Hope to visit again this year!
